Disinfection of surfaces, especially in medical fields, is an important issue in preventing diseases caused by many microorganisms, especially serious viral infections. Surface disinfectants are characterized by their effectiveness against viruses, bacteria and fungi.
In accordance with the usage areas and purposes of disinfectants, whether they are yeasticidal or fungicidal should be determined by tests and analyzes and licensed. C.albicans, Aspergillus brasiliensis strains are used in yeasticidal and fungicidal tests performed on disinfectants.
Yeastcidal and fungicidal activity tests required for licensing biocidal products are important analysis parameters.
