What is GLP and Why is it Important?

GLP is a quality system that ensures that toxicological and safety tests performed in the laboratory environment are carried out according to the principles of quality, integrity and reliability. This system

• Ensures data production in standards accepted by international regulatory authorities (EFSA, FDA, OECD, etc.),

Today, additives are added to food and animal feeds for many reasons such as extending shelf life and increasing nutritional value. Additives have become the most questioned and researched topic in the food and feed industry.

Organizations such as the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the OECD require toxicological data for food and feed additives to be prepared in accordance with GLP standards.
