GB/T 5296.6: Instructions For Use of Products of Consumer Interest - Part 6: Furniture

Part 6 of the GB 5296 standard contains the basic requirements, methods and necessary contents for compiling instructions for the use of furniture. For the sale of furniture in China, products must prove compliance with the GB 5296 standard.

General requirements according to the GB 5296 standard:
• Furniture offered for sale must have instructions for use (labels, nameplates, instructions for use, etc.). )
• The name of the furniture should reflect the actual feature of the furniture and comply with the specifications of relevant national standards or professional standards.
• Instructions for use must clearly state the furniture functions and construction, materials, performance, type and applicable environmental conditions.
• Instructions for Use; It should be printed on the packaging, mounted on the furniture as a nameplate, and given with the furniture in the form of a user manual or label.
• Chinese operating instructions should be provided.
• Furniture intended for export must be provided with instructions for use in the official language of the sales region.
• The expression of the instructions for use will be in the methods and procedures that will help consumers understand and comprehend the content accurately and quickly.
