The classification ofbiocidal products is determined as 4 main groups and 22 types of products. An important group, “Pest Control” biocidal products are used to control and prevent harmful organisms and pests (mice, rats and other rodents; insects, joints, worms, etc.).
Core Group 3 covers pest control biocidal products used to protect human health, animal welfare and the environment. These products are developed for the control or complete eradication of harmful insects, rodents and other pest species. Pest control biocidal products are subdivided into insecticides, acaricides, rodenticides, larvicides and repellents.
| Product Type 14 Biocidal Product Analysis (Rodenticides) | It is used for the control of mice, rats or other rodents by means other than pushing or pulling. |
| Product Type 15 Biocidal Product Analysis (Avicides) | It is used to control birds by means other than pushing or pulling. |
| Product Type 16 Biocidal Product Assays (mollucidides, vermicides and products to control other invertebrates) | It is used to control molluscs, worms and invertebrates, which are not covered by other product types, by means other than pushing or pulling. |
| Product Type 17 Biocidal Product Analysis (Fish killers) | It is used to control fish by means other than pushing or pulling. |
| Product Type 18 Biocidal Product Assays (Insecticides, acaricides and products to control other arthropods) | It is used for the control of arthropods (eg insects, spiders and crustaceans) by means other than pushing or pulling. |
| Product Type 19 Biocidal Product Analysis (Repellent and Attractors) | It is used to control harmful organisms (invertebrates such as fleas, vertebrates such as birds, fish, rodents) by repelling or attracting, directly on the skin or indirectly in the environment of humans or animals, including those used for human or veterinary hygiene. |
| Product Type 20 Biocidal Product Analysis (Control of other vertebrates) | It is used for the control of vertebrates by means other than pushing or pulling, other than those already covered in other product types of this main group. |
