Paraben Free Analysis in Cosmetics

With the conscious consumers starting to read the labels of cosmetic products, many chemicals have started to be questioned. The expression "doesn't contain", which we often see in cosmetic markets, also refers to these chemicals. "Paraben" is one of the substances that has been discontinued in cosmetic products in consideration of consumer health.

You may have seen the phrase "Paraben Free" on many cosmetic products. So what are the harms of paraben?

Paraben is widely used as a preservative in cosmetic products. Many preservatives are used in cosmetic products to prevent the formation of harmful bacteria and mold. The most commonly used preservatives are parabens; methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben and ethylparaben.

The reason for avoiding the use of parabens in cosmetic products is because they can increase cellular level damage caused by exposure to UV rays, which can lead to skin cancer. For this reason, cosmetic product manufacturers stop the use of Paraben and label their products as Paraben-Free.

Nanolab Cosmetic Product Analysis Laboratory continues to work on the labeling and proving of products as Paraben-Free with Paraben Analysis in cosmetic products.
