pH Analysis in Cosmetics

It is the main purpose of cosmetic products to make them efficient in a way that will truly improve the skin or hair condition and not harm them in any way. Cosmetic products pass many quality and performance tests until they reach the consumer. One of these tests is pH Analysis.

There are some reasons for pH Analysis in cosmetic products:

Detection of the compatibility of the pH of the product with the pH of the skin
Determining the quality
Ensuring the appropriate viscosity
Ensuring color/odor and durability

Hair care products that are too acidic or too basic can cause problems on the scalp. Likewise, the unsuitable pH value of cosmetics and personal care products in direct contact with the skin will also cause skin problems.

The ideal pH range for shampoos, shower gels, cosmetics and skin care products should be between 4.5 and 5.5. pH Analysis should be performed on cosmetics and personal care products on a regular basis.
