Verpakkingstests

Wat zijn de soorten materialen die worden gebruikt bij de productie van verpakkingen? Welke testprocedures moeten worden toegepast?

Verpakkingstests

There are many types of packaging used in different products. Packaging materials; It can be produced from metal, paper-cardboard and plastic materials.

The packaging should be specially selected depending on the product requirements. For example; Plastics must have the correct gas and water vapor permeability. Metal packaging must have a suitable tin or lacquer layer.

Multi-layer structures must be of the correct thickness. Package selection is made considering these features.

Metal Packaging Tests

• Checks against specifications
• Determination of compound liner weight distribution
• Determining the vacuum in the boxes
• Drop test
• Dye penetration test
• Elemental analysis
• Headroom gas analysis
• Lacquer adhesion test
• Determination of lake weight
• Leak testing of boxes
• Plate thickness
• Ring pull analysis of easy open ends
Scanning electron microscope
• Score line analysis
• Seam division / double stitch evaluation
• Side wall and vertical axis strength test
Torque test

Plastic Packaging Tests

• Adhesive bond strength test
• Biotest
• Explosion test
• Coefficient of friction (CoF) test
• Compliance with dimensional and material properties
Creep test
• Drop test
• Dye penetration test
• Examination of glass and plastics under polarized light
• Internal pressure resistance
Oxygen transmission rate (OTR) and water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) test
• Peeling test
Pendulum impact test
• Tear resistant
• Tensile and T-peel test
• Push test
Torque test
• Underwater vacuum / bubble emission test

Paper and Cardboard Packaging Tests

• Adhesive bond strength test
• Biotest
• Cobb test
• Coefficient of friction (CoF) test
Compression strength test
• Compliance with dimensional and material properties
• Drop test
• Dye penetration test
• Edge crush test
• Flat crush test
Flute measurements
• Grammage
• Kit testing
• Mullen burst test
• Peeling test
